Alert: More home burglaries reported

Officer Mark Wood of the Brentwood Police Department emailed the following alert to Brentwood Homeowner's Associations Thursday. See earlier posts for more details.

Watch Coordinators and Contacts,

We have had several home burglaries in the past week during the morning and afternoon hours. These burglaries have occurred at various homes near Edmondson Pike, Concord Road, Franklin Road, and Granny White Pike. In each case, the homes have been entered through the front door by someone kicking the door. Items taken include jewelry and small electronics. An arrest was made in one burglary, but we have had three more since the arrest.

We have a possible vehicle description of a silver or grey SUV or minivan with a possible license plate number of 986-VFQ. Metro Nashville has experienced similar burglaries with a grey Nissan Pathfinder given as a possible suspect vehicle.

For those of you who may have a spare key hidden outside, I recommend giving that key to a trusted neighbor or friend. Entry was made by using a spare key found outside in one of the burglaries last week. Make sure to use your alarms if you have them.

Call 371-0160 if you have any information or see suspicious activity in your area. Call 911 for crimes in progress.

Thank you

Mark Wood
